Pre-existing Medical Conditions

Our travel insurance quote system is able to provide an immediate quote for people declaring pre-existing medical conditions.*

While many companies require that you telephone a third party company to obtain cover for medical conditions, our online quote system incorporates an interactive screening system. This allows you to find out if you can get your travel insurance including cover for pre-existing medical conditions which many insurance policies may exclude.

Often, conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes and even cancer conditions can be insured depending on how long ago the condition was diagnosed and how much medication is being taken.

Our online medical screen will take all this into consideration and often there will be no additional premium to pay.

How to Get Insured for Medical Conditions.

1. Obtain a quote for your travel insurance in the normal way using the panel on the right.
2. Click the Buy button
3. Complete the Medical Declaration on behalf of everyone on the policy.

If you answer Yes to any of these questions you will be asked to select which persons the condition or conditions apply to. Tick the appropriate boxes before proceeding on to decal re the conditions.

There is a massive database of medical conditions and their synonyms on the system so you are bound to find your condition there. If you are not sure how to spell it then just try typing the first few letters and search. you will be able to select from a list.

Answer the questions on the screen until there are no more conditions for which you need screening. If there was someone else to screen for then you will need to enter their condition.

Once you have declared everyone's conditions you will see that either:

1. You will be covered for the declared condition without having to pay anything extra;
2. You will be covered for the declared condition upon payment of an additional premium;
3. We are unable to cover for any claims relating to the declared conditions.

You can of course at this point continue on to pay for your policy. If you prefer to pay over the phone continue to the next page, jot down the reference number, and give us a call.
